Default New high for mileage on my STS 5.3

WOW!!! I know other people get good mileage but I got 18mpg out of my last tank. I didn't drive like a puss either. Even did a few burnouts too!!
I am so happy with the way this baby runs now. Just thought I'd share.

People just don't believe you when you tell them you get 14-15 mpg towing.

How did that happen? I have to drive really slow to do that (and not like a puss, so STFU, lol).

The turbo definitely added to my mileage. I have a road trip coming up but I have noticed a 1-2mpg increase in town ( also not going easy, the turbo whine is addicting! ). Not enough to use it as justification to spend $4K plus but at least it did not make mileage worse.
Motor does not have to work as hard to accelerate or maintain speed with F/I.
