Default new DD rcsb 06 v6. mpg?

looks like i might get a new used truck for a DD. an 06 WT v6 with a five speed manual. babyin the hell out of it what kind of gas milage should i expect?

why a v6?
today's gm v8's get the same mpg as the 4.3 and have loads more power.

because its cheap, low miles, a manual, and i wont be tempted to mod it.

lol. Sure you won't.

My grandpa's 07 4.3 rcsb gets 17 avg. and he doesn't take off quick and runs probably 55-60mph if that helps any.

right. that was my point.
My 5.3 cammed ecsb gets a little better than my gpa's 4.3 rcsb.

My 4.3L RCSB truck with 3.42 gears always got 17MPG until it got 100K miles on it. I don't know what changed but one day (literally) it started consistently getting 20MPG in town and 22 straight highway driving. No changes on the truck at all. This is a 2wd truck with no tonneau cover and never so much has had any sensors changed on the engine or anything.
