She knows that she only has a V6 mustang, she isn't trying to rice it out or anything (If she did, I'd dump her - j/k lol!). She just wants a little more performance out of it and a nice sounding exhaust. She hates ricers (like me) and usually whoops the hell out of them.
I bought her just a K&N air filter, haven't installed it yet. That should give her just a little bit, right?
She wants a deep sounding exhaust. Flowmaster has a cat-back system for her car. It's the Force II system. Has anybody heard this on a 2000 & up V6 Mustang? I was also thinking about having a custom set-up made for her, I just don't know what mufflers to go with, what do ya'll think? She loves the way my truck sounds, but doesn't want as much interior resonation. She really wants 2 mufflers and dual tips. I was thinking two magnaflows would sound good, but it would probably kill her low-end.
Any suggestions?

Go to www.mustangexhaust.com. They have clips of the 5.0L, 4.6L, and the 3.8L and it tells you what kind of mufflers, headers, and h or x pipe is on the car. Hope this helps.

steeda has a dual exhaust conversion and I have driven both before and after and the power is much better after, even low end torque. The k&n filter will probably not get you much power, but the fender mount filter to the tb will. also, go with some under drive pulleys and see if there is some tuning out there somewhere too. Then again you could go with a supercharger, cam, heads, ported upper and lower intake....the options are endless.....j/k.

I think I've made up my mind on what to get her. I've been to a few different v6 mustang forums and everyone seems to like the spintech mufflers. I heard a few different clips and they seem to sound pretty good.
I guess I'll have my exhaust guy fab up a custom 2 1/4" exhaust. I'll have him split the y-pipe, put in a 2 1/4" x-pipe, then 2 1/4" spintech mufflers and some 2 1/2 - 3" chrome tips straight out the back. That should be good enough.

Big upgrade for the 3.8 is the addition of the Thunderbird s/c supercharger package. You can find them on ebay damn cheap, but you will need to find out what all the parts are you will need. I heard its not all that difficult.

The newer v6 Mustang engines are different from the old Thunderbird 3.8's, there's a lot of work that would be involved in adding one of those blowers to a newer Mustang 3.8. I was reading a site where people were tryin it out and they had to custom fab and fit parts.
