Im interested in a ss front bumper cover, but from what i hear, they fit like crap since they sticl out on;p; the sides. Is there a aftermarket ss cover thatll fit good on a regular silverado? Has anyone color matched there factory chrome bumper, lower valance and top cap?? Anyone with pics of ss covers or color matched bumpers, please post up some pics.

 

Before I totaled my 2004 Silverado I swapped out my chrome front bumper for a black primed metal one called a "face bar" I bought as an aftermarket on Ebay $250. I had it painted to match at a body shop. I also changed out the gray lower plastic valance for a black one for a 2006 Z71. Much cheaper than a flimsey bumper cover.

I want to color match everything. Do they sell the bottom valance smooth so it could be paintable? And can chrome be painted? Anyone have pics of ss cover or color matched bumper?

There are a few in my town that are just color matched but it looks sweet I think. And much chapter since you already have it

 

Fully colomratched 06-07 front is nice. Heres one of mine with a black valance. PErsonally, colormatched valance is to much

This looks perfect! Gotta find me a 06/07 hood and grille and have my bumper stripped.

 

Yes you can paint your chrome bumper , but if you want paint then buy a primered bumper to start with ,

Or do what I did and get it powdercoated, very durable .

 

I could be mistaken but I don't recall the 03-07 bumper as ever having been painted.. I think they were all chrome except for like the Tom Henry ones.
