My Truck won't start. 03 sierra 2500 6.0

Default My Truck won't start. 03 sierra 2500 6.0

I went out to go to work today and nothing! No crank over or nothing. Volt meter says almost 14 volts. wtf!!

loose, or corroded battery connection maybe. could show 14 volts but the connection wont provide the current needed to start it.

+1 Had that happen a few weeks ago on the company truck. Lights, radio, locks all worked, but no crank. Loose positive cable.

Yeah,that is what I'm going to look at first. I did a coolant flush last weekend and might have bumped something loose. Just didn't have the time this morning. Thanks for the replies.

Could be a bad starter solenoid too. I had that problem. Replaced the starter and all was better.

Check the big fuses too. If the starter wire shorted on something, the big fuse will blow.

I'm gonna' have to say it's probably the ignition switch my friend. They are notorious for failing on the GM trucks and SUV's and well...pretty much all the GM vehicles expect the Malibu.
