You sure your inserting the pump completely into the filler neck as far as it will go. I sometimes find with certain pumps that they will prematurely click off if i try to give it the full flow so i pull the spout out just about an inch or a half inch to keep it from clicking off. I think the auto click off function of most pumps works on the principal that if any fuel splashes back or comes back up the nozzle they click off. I drive an obs and i think the way the filler neck must be routed is sometimes causes fuel to splash back triggering the pump to click off.

I really don't see how your truck could be the problem. Unless you have physically changed the filler neck routing or something.

it's the pump that is doing that. i used to work at a gas station and that would happen sometimes. it usually happened when you had a car that would keep clicking off. some of them just do. ford explorers for example suck. you have to pull the pump almost all the way out and put it on super slow. that combination (pump barely in the filler neck and pumping slowly) usually was the reason for the pump not shutting off.

The Pumps Have A Venturi Like A Carburetor... And When It Senses The Difference Of Pressure That Goes By It As The Tank Gets Fuller (i Made A New Word!!) It Will Cut Off.... Thats Why If Your Tank Doesnt Vent Well It Will Cut Off

Its done it at a few different gas stations… so I'm thinking its something to do with the tank… I guess I'll take the bed off and give it a look… the maybe a pinched vent hose?? Its not running from the filler hole… its coming out under the truck like maybe where the filler meets the tank itself??? I don’t know…

I'll check it out… I have changed the pump but that was a good while back and it just started doing it the past couple weeks… I guess investigating it will be the only way to fix it…
