Haha it was fun to watch, i almost fell alseep once or twice but i learned a **** ton from hanging around. Ive done that with the brakes before, scared the **** outta me almost running into a brick wall (sound familiar ).

Good to hear the progress. I was heading back from camelback sunday and saw it getting dropped in from scottsdale rd but the girl didnt want to stop.
Read up on that tuning, should be fun

I'd say you definitely lost power going from the 317s to the 241s. The 317/243 is simply a better starting head than the 241. I looked into getting a set of cheap 241s worked over but WCCH said they got rid of their 241 cnc program several years ago. On a stock LS1, swapping to 243s over 241s is a 13-15rwhp gain. Swapping 241s for the stage 1 LS6's gains 50rwhp.

Where did the stock 317s go?

edit - I see it was an iron head motor.

BTW, just so you know, if you can come across some 317s cheap, TSP will CNC port them, mill them and re-assemble them for $650.

haha well if I had the money or wanted to I would. I think Ill be fine with the 241s for now. I know its not the full potential. I will custom spec a cam and heads one day.

when you do your cam/heads/intake I would just go with an l98 setup. congrats on getting it done, though I hate you a little for getting done before me.

I woulda hated myself if you finished before me tho haha
I MAY be in tucson tomorrow. Depends on if I can get some help with my tune or not. So keep an earshot for the truck running open header
