Agreed with it possibly being the cats, just like they have said if it can't exhale it can't inhale, will throw a lite and the things you are describing.

yet another reason I don't have CATs on my truck or car......OBD2 scan test!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually when its blinking it means seirous problem - when i stripped my clutch in my old camaro (v6) i was trying to get home and went to get going..and it wouldnt because of the clutch so the RPMS hit 52XX and it started blinking then stopped when the RPM scaled down. I looked around a bit and notice it usually means something internal (not getting fuel would cause the internal engine to not run right).

A blinking SES light means that the engine has detected a misfire, which can be caused by alot of things. But from the symptoms that you've described, it sounds like the cats are clogged.
