I used to go mudding alot, and let me tell you, it shows in my engine bay.
I have used countless bottles of engine cleaner and power washed it, but no go.
What are some tips or tricks to getting those little dirt stains off the plastic, rubber, and hoses in the engine bay?

depends on how clean you want it . . . I'd get at least two bottles, and a firm bristle brush . . . kinda like what you'd use to clean your tires with

I used to use that spray tire foam on my hoses, plastic & wheelwells then rinse it off and it did a pretty good job. For the mud that is stained on the plastic try a bucket of soapy water or Simple Green/water and scrub with a Magic Eraser.

I think that "Westley's Bleach White" whitewall tire cleaner is probably the most powerful cleaner you can buy. It has a caustic formula that can damage paint if you leave it long enough. It will also remove the printing on any stickers and decals, so watch out. Spray it on, brush it around with a stiff brush, and rinse off.
