Default to mod or not to mod

Got a 05 ecsb 4x4 or should I get a 2wd to mod for speed? I'm really stuck on what to do. I have a ls1 t56 left over from another project that I can use. just want to get some opinions. I think a rcsb would be fun with a
Six speed but I know of some fast 4x4s.

Well the 4x4 is paid for. I think there was a blue rcsb 4x4 that was fast parish racing I think. I don't remember though. I just want to know if the 4x4 route is ok or would it just turn into a headache.

Uh...I was kidding. There are half a dozen very fast 4x4 trucks on here, if not more. My truck is a 2005 Z71

LOL I was wondering if you guys were joking or I was getting flamed. So what are the basics I will have to cover? One ton tranny and tcase I'm guessing. I want to use the ls1 to replace my 4.8.

you can swap to the 4L80 and it's probably a smart move all around. The T-case is fine, autotrac ftw.
