Default mini starter for 6.0L

I am in the process of swaping a 2001 6.0L 4l80e into my 93 2dr Yukon 4x4. Of course I damaged a few things during the swap, one of which was the starter on the 6.0L. I figure that I might as well upgrade to better than stock and the only one I could find was this one from Summit:

I like it because it is smaller and lighter than stock, but it has 222 ft/lbs of cranking power. Is this too much for my stock 6.0L? Has any one used this starter or any others made by Summit/Protorque?

Well it's "in progress" (no front end!) but I'll post some pics soon!

Welcome, and that starter should work fine, plenty of power to crank a 6l. No such think as "over powering" a starter

Well I just found out that the Summit Protorque starter weighs 11 lbs. Anyone know how much the stock starter weighs? If they are close to the same weight I'll just get the stock one from GM, I can get it cheaper than Summit.

I'm really looking for a lightweight one.

I try to save weight when and where I can on my truck. Hopefully it will save gas.

I ordered the AC Delco stater, it was cheaper and lighter!

Thanks!
