when i had my '00 5.3 with lots of mods,
(including 4.10 gear) i raced a friend's 30th Anniv 99 GT with intake/exhaust/short shifter - his was a 5spd also and he beat me by about a good 3 car lenghts.
(this was from a dead stop)
