I just test-rode a CBR1000RR a few days ago, I'm looking at getting rid of my '00 Buell Cyclone for something a little more sporty, I'm 6'1 and 250lbs and I was pretty comfortable on the CBR actually, I really think the ergos are better on it than on my Buell

I actually still like the looks of my bike over the new 600RR/1000RR, of course, the power on the 1000 is greater than my 954.
can't go wrong either way

What kind of long-term likes/dislikes have you had with the CBR, I had looked at a 600 F4i a year or so back but backed off because of some bitches that a friend of mine had with them. I'm glad now I didn't buy the 600 because I'm pretty sure that it just wouldn't have the power to move my butt around the way I want it too, after riding the 1000RR I'm pretty much hooked.....my Buell will pull the front wheel all the way through 4th gear (1200cc's will do that) but it just too rumpety for my taste, the 1000RR is defintely WAY FASTER and smoother but before I drop $11,000 on it I want to make sure it's gonna be a reliable bike (my Buell has NEVER had a problem...not a single solitary issue...EVER)

One issue with the 954 is its runs on the hot side, 1000rr adressed this with a much larger radiator.
Another is somewhat abrupt low rpm throttle response, too sensitive, cbr1000rr also has this addressed
Thats about it, and it will run forever, like my Radix

CBR's are hard to beat if your looking for a comfy, reliable and fast bike.
They might not look as agressive as the offerings from yamaha,Kawi and Suzuki but they are alot easier on the knees and back.
The only problem my brother ever had with his 03 954 is blowing the motor while doing extended wheelies. He stunt rides and I guess the oil pick up runs dry if you spend alot of time on the back wheel.
He had the motor replaced under warranty.

I'm not real sure if I DO want to sell it, but if I do it'll probably be for more than I paid for it originally......probably $10-12K, the tranny alone was over $2K and has less than 200 miles on it
