Default MAF free mod

Is it worth it? I know it is free and all, but could it cause anything to go wrong in the future?

If you are talking about descreening the maf, some say don't do it because it is meant to straighten the airflow over the probe wires, and can make it harder to run or tune. Some people have done it and I'm sure they will chime in.

From all I have heard it just ***** it all up. Some have do it with no problems at all. I do know that it will change tranny shift points, and things like that. Not a good mod IMO. I do know of people who have descreened it and turned right around and bought a new one to go back in it. I would personally leave it be. But if your feeling lucky go for it!

Leave it in there. Unless your gonna tune for it, its worthless to take out the screen. Leave it alone. The gains are almost miniscule.

Leave it alone! I had to buy another one. I had really bad transmisson problems (Some trans. readings come off the MAF sensor) that eventually sent it back to the dealership to get rebuilt.

The only free mods worth while is cutting the EGR back and the coolent bi pass.
