Not saying I am repeating myself here, but I'll say it again once more.

Those pictures are with a 2/4 drop (spindles, hangers/shackles) with 275/55/20 Bridgestone Dueler Alenza tires.

Newbie to this site but frequent GMfullsize. I've got an 03 SCStepside. I just picked up some LTZ Texas Edition that came with 275/55's. The looked too big, they were too heavy for the suspension, rubbed on full lock, sluggish off the line, and speedo was off about 5 mph at 60. I replaced them with 265/50's which imo is a much better size for that truck, both in looks and performance. I dropped over 8lbs off each corner and it shows. I just think the 275/55's look too big on the regular cabs.

Do the 265/50-20 ride and accelerate better than the 275/55-20? I have 275/55-20 Toyo Proxes on my truck now and I'm getting tired of the harsh ride. I'm hesitant to go to a narrower width (I am traction impaired as it is) but wouldn't mind a better ride and lighter tires. Looking at the Nitto 420S for my next tire, which I can get in either 275/55-20 or 265/50-20.

275 55 20 is a 4WD tire size. To maintain your 2WD tire size (diameter) go with 265/50R20 or 275/45R20 - both will look good.

The 295/45/20 is great size, too (I had these on the rear of my truck) But, you will need at least a 9.5" wide rim for that. I don't believe the LTZ rims are that wide.

I know this thread is a little older but ltr450ryder is that a 295/45 up front as well? Im looking at going 305/50r20 in the rear and want something close to the same height up front. My biggest thing is ill be close to a 4/6 drop give or take. I have a 2001 ext cab with 2" shackels and the middle spring removed in the back and soon to be v6 drop springs in the front. Thanks for any advice
