Default LS 5.3 in a V6 Truck

I am buying a V6 99 SBSC Silverado to put my ls 5.3 in and I was wondering what i need to change in order for everything to work. Someone told me that I need to change out ALL of the wiring under the dash. Is this true? I know that I need to get some hoses made and move all of the AC stuff but other than that what needs to be changed or relocated?

Get a 99-02 engine harness and PCM, then all your typical swap stuff, hoses accesories etc. And you're good to go. No need to touch anything under the dash, one of the easiest swaps out there.

Yeah, I was thinking that all the stuff in the cab is BCM stuff.

LS engines are pretty much a self contained unit. We're trying to find one with a T56 for my buddy's '77 Malibu right now actually.

Soooo many on here for sale...But shipping is killer

Good luck with the swap man.

you shouldn't have to change the wiring under the dash, just under the hood
