Default LQ9 cam upgrade.

I have a 2003 silverado ss..I've done longtube headers so far and a cold air intake and exhaust..I recently bought a New cam and some springs the cam is a 212/218 .558/.563 on a 115LSA and the springs are ls6 springs.. and also purchased a corvette servo..My question is what else do i need for my cam upgrade can i get away with not installing new pushrods etc and leaving most of it stock..the cam is a mild cam nothing to big.

I'd go ahead and do the pushrods while you're in there. You're adding lift to stock pushrods that wasnt designed for that, its 50/50 that they wont bend after a while.....spend the 100 or so bucks and get some. if you plan on pulling the heads might as well take a look at your lifters too, depending on how many miles are on the truck. Also depending on the mileage of the truck, change the timing set and oil pump pickup tube o-ring or just the entire pump. also change the cam retainer plate if the gasket on there looks aged. I'm sure someone will chime in with more or less.

The stock pushrods are absolutely fine... the whole 50/50 thing is bullshit considering you are using OEM valve springs lol.

Yeah you’ll be fine with stock pushrods on that cam. Hell call TXSpeed and they’ll tell you the same thing that cam is fine with stock parts

If you buy from Summit Racing you'll get a free return label during shipping. If the pushrods are the incorrect length you can easily return for another set. I love Texas Speed and run their products. Their shipping is high and slow, so If I can get the same product from other sellers with more reasonable shipping... hard to beat Summit and pushrods usually qualify for the $99 free two day shipping... if not just throw a Summit t-shirt in the cart

Or... you can just reuse the ones in the engine and probably be bang on for length and geometry... lol.
