i dont think it will cost anywhere near 10 grand. check out the conversions section on ls1truck.com. theres a few people over there with ls conversions on their older trucks. i think theres off the shelf motor mounts for the conversion and you have to notch the frame for the AC compressor. go over and look up swaps by farmtruc and redheartbeat.
