Looking for confirmation of a couple conditions on 04 Denali before hitting dealer
#1
Hey everyone,
I've got two conditions I'm struggling with on my 04 Denali. Neither are serious yet, but they annoy the hell out of me.
1 - Tranny seems to hit neutral from a stop or low speed roll and then jumps into gear pretty hard. I think there is a TSB for this based on some searches, but I didn't see anyone referencing 2004+ vehicles. It's not consistent enough to be able to duplicate at the dealer I'm sure.
2 - I have what feels like a low rpm miss when the engine is loaded (3rd or 4th gear) under light throttle. It's more pronounced when the A/C is running (larger load so that makes sense). BigTex and I ran the same exhaust briefly and he noted a weird resonance in the same rpm range with his truck, but this really feels like the engine is stumbling. I don't have any SES codes of course.
Anyone have any experience with these conditions and dealer warranty response? The truck only has 6,500 miles on it.
Thanks!

Hmm... it doesn't feel like the converter is going through a lock/unlock cycle.
The "stumble" condition is only present around 1400 rpms to say 17/1800 rpms under light to medium throttle. Above that I don't notice it. Of course that doesn't mean it's not there, but it's not obvious. The truck feels great at WOT all the way to redline, but something just feels squirrelly in the part throttle area in that rpm range. It's not storing codes, no.
I was just hoping someone has experienced this as I saw one post referencing a 1/4 throttle low rpm stumble.
