#1
the local dealer has a 2010 rcsb 2wd. they are asking 16k for it and it has 6900miles on it. its a 4.8, 4l60e, cloth interior, ac, ps, rubber floor mat, and manual windows white in color with black grille and black front bumber.
would it be worth the money or what u guys think?.... they had it listed at 21k and droped the price to 16k... i cant get them to budge any lower...
any input appreciated thanks...

If you want a stripper then it's not too bad. But if you are going add this and that you may as well spend the cash up front and get exactly what you want. It's a good basic transportation truck but it will never be a screamer by any means wo some major mods

Always depends on how desperate the dealership is or how much they're willing to deal, as far as negotiation goes. I don't see it as a rip off, but it's all in what you want and what you want to do with it. That's what it really boils down to. I've always like stripped down w/t's. Lighter and usually cheaper platforms for a nice project.

Just paid that a couple month ago for same truck but 08 with 20k. Add power windows and locks for about 300. The only thing I didn't like was the gauge cluster, missing oil pressure and volt gauges. Fount one from an lt model and swapped right in, need the left side dash panel with the dic buttons on it but the wiring and sensors are in the wt already. I also lost 3k miles with the swap.

thanks for all the info guys....
if i can get payment down wher i need them to be it may just end up in my drive way.. figure it would be a good entry level pickup.... i used to have an 88 rcsb 2wd and i really miss the way it ran and handled... hope the 2010 will drive the same with a few mods...

From the sounds of it, you are looking for a truck pretty close to what I bought. In September 07' I bought an 07' with 1900 miles. 4.8, auto, manual windows and locks, chrome grill and bumper bar, ls package got me carpet and a cd player, GMPP exhaust and GMPP 20" wheels already on it from the dealership. I think the first owner ordered those.
I financed $21,000 for 6 years, paid it off in 3.5.
The 4.8 has decent power, far from the fastest thing on the road. Most sane people would think it's adequate. I'll be putting a turbo on mine this spring. I hate the manual windows because it's a damn far reach from the driver seat. I can handle the manual locks but would prefer power. I added the DIC, and plan to swap to the 6 gauge cluster and leather wrapped steering wheel with radio controls.
I'll pass over 77,777 miles tonight on my way to school. Been a great truck, only one trip to the dealer for a check engine light for some faulty valve in the evap lines right before 36,000 miles. Routine maintenance since without any trouble. Easily average 18-19 mpg with about 60/40 highway/city driving every time regardless how I drive it it seems.
Hope this helps.

got to ask whats DIC... and the leather wrapped wheel with radio controls.. is the wiring already in place if a person did switch wheels?
that kinda milage is a vast improvement over what i get now days with my 92 1ton its best is 14mpg and worst is 6.4 and at 3.29 a gal its kinda starting to hurt a bit...

DIC is Driver Information Center, the 4 buttons on the left side of the dash that gives you the ability to check miles to empty, trip odometer, average gas mileage, adjust lighting and door chimes, reset oil, etc. Pretty neat and about $75.
From reading I've done, if you have cruise, it is pretty much a given that the wiring for radio controls is already built in, just have to swap wheels and plug it up.
