I had a 04 rcsb 4x4 with the 4.3 v6 and 5 speed, now I have a 05 ecsb 4x4 with the 5.3 h.o and tell you the truth... I don't notice a difference, the V6 4.3 does not get that good of gas mileage..

2000 2500HD here with a good tune and a turbo i get 14 city and 18-19 hwy and a whole lot of power

if your never gonna chunk something in the bed of the truck get the lessor of the 3 but if you haul stuff around then get the 4.8 or the 5.3 for the xtra power and better mpg in both of the truck models
