Your Lightning should not be governed. Ford even advertises that it will go 140 and then its drag limited. My friend's old hyundai could go 115 - your truck should be able to get over 97. Sure theres not a chip in that pcm? Maybe it has a speed limiter programmed in it for some reason...

[edit - are you talking about the silverado or lightning? ]

damn GOVS

i never got my truck above 90. how pathetic is that. i even used the HPP3 and goved it up to 128. i'm only 28, but i feel like i drive like a grandma now. had my days when i was younger going over 100. i just haven't had the urge with this truck. i'd rather feel the acceleration than the speed. i'm a *****. i know.

get that tune and let us know how it goes.

I enjoy life and full mobility too much to drive that fast. I got to 120-130 in my C5 when I was 18, but since then that **** just doesnt do anything for me. Im probably the oldest 24 year old kid ever!! I like being pressed back into the seat with hard acceleration. Is your truck lowered?? Better wheels and tires?? I just wouldnt feel safe unless the truck was lowered and had some wider tires with better rubber. I dont know if it makes that much difference, but like I said. Im a puss.
