Default Track sucked last night, but did get a few kills

Well, after installing the Eaton, using the track bite, and toasting the drag radials, I still couldn't get it to fully hook at Greenvilles track. I've come to the conclusion that the track just sucks. I've never had any trouble at any other tracks, just this one. Best time I could pull was a damn 12.78, spinning alittle out of the hole. Anyway, got a few races to report.

1st- 95 Chevy Impala SS- Nice guy from Pine Bluff. He was running 14.5 stock all night. He's about to get his motor built, and a few other things done, so I'm really looking forward to racing it after he's done with it. He's going to have a really fast setup.

2nd- We were standing around BSing when this brand new GTO rolled up to the track. We were looking at his car, talking about how good it looked. He must have seen us looking, because he started snorting it and doing little launches. We walked over to where he was parked and started talking to him about the car. He told us he had waxed the local mustangs and even a new c6 vette. Anyway, I asked him if he was up for a little money race. He asked what I was driving, and I pointed to the "truck". I said it was all motor, and if he could wax all he said he could, it would be no problem. He refused to run me for money, but I did finally talk him into a race.
Needless to say, it was a pretty sad outcome. I spun a little out of the hole, and don't know if he did, but I did get to see him get smaller and smaller in the mirror. I went 12.89 on the pass, but he wouldn't tell me what he went. I have a vid of it, but it's not good.(my girlfriend needs to work on her camera skills ) SHe was down on the gate, and just basically videoed me. You can hear some people pulling for me on the pass.

I may post it up later. I really surprised that guy, and all he could say was put the street tires on and we'll do it again. I still don't think he would have had a chance.

Unfortunately no, it's grudge match night on Saturdays at Greenville, and they keep everything hush hush for the regular gamblers. I asked the guy his time, but obviously he wasn't very pleased because he wouldn't tell me.

That's what I was saying. I told him I could drive home on them, so they were technically street tires. I still think the outcome would have been the same on my nitto street tires.

Sweet kill! Guys thinks he can buy respect on the track and street. Remind him you have less in your ride than he does, rub it in reeeeel good.
Awesome times, really glad to hear the motor is working out.
BTW, did you ever find the Acura again?
