Default A Little Mudding in the Silvy and some carnage ***Dialup Warning***

Today it started to snow a little here so my friend decided to go mudding in his neon. We went out to a little place out here and had some fun. At least I did. I was in a chase truck (friend's ford). Anyhoo, we were mashing around in the ford and noticed the neon had gone missing. On our way looking for him, we found it at the end of a loooong puddle out there. He wasn't moving.

So, we pull up to him and his car wont crank over, but the lights are bright, etc. To make a long story short, he got water in his engine, and cracked his oilpan.

I know it sounds mean, but we couldn't stop laughing.

Here are some pics of the fun, the tow and my truck.

My rear tires have about 2/32" of tread on 'em. And the friend with the jeep offered, so I just tagged along and played a little while overseeing the whole operation.

Look's like fun!! I remember the day's of motors full of water and the smell of mud burning on the hot exhust. Winching for day's just to get the broken jeep back to the pavement.

Just a 2WD 4.8 ECSB, nothing special.

The neon had taken one heck of a beating up to that point. It was a little trooper.

Yeah, snow up here at 5,000'.

As a follow up to the neon: The car sat over our thanksgiving break here, and now the battery doesn't even have enough juice to turn on the radio. Damn that car is gonna need some work.
