Default Lifter preload ?

I have read preload should be between .050 - .080. and factory is .060. With 7.375 push rods I'm at .059 and with 7.400 I'm at .084. Is it better to be on the upper or lower in of the preload scale? also is there an order that the rockers have to be tightened down?

I'd go with a little more preload personally, but you should be fine either way. Rockers do not need to be torqued in any order, but make sure the lifter is on the base of the cam lobe when tightening down that rocker, or else you are putting a lot of stress on the rocker bolt threads and could rip them out.

Sorry, I meant I would go with the 0.084 over the 0.059 if those were my two choices.

Shouldn't. Do a search on tech about preload, you'll find everything from 0.03 to .120.
