humming gears

Default humming gears

I just put some g3 411s and a trutrack, new axle bearings used a master g2 kit
The Preload was set at 15 lbs
Backlash is .012
Gear mesh was centered
And iam using 85/90 oil

can it be break in?

Assuming this is the GM 8.6 rear end, your backlash is out of spec. It needs to be 0.006" to 0.010".

It was .010 during set up then i pressed new bearing on pinion and assmbled every thing it went to .012 i got lazy and didnt want to reshim it lol. U think thats what makes it hum
