Killswitch for truck
#1
does anybody know how to wire up a killswitch to the fuel pump? a detailed write up would be badass!
id like to wire up a put a hidden kill switch to the power wire of my fuel pump so the only way to turn the truck on is by flipping the switch to turn on the fuel pump first. im sure you can add a killswitch to another part of the truck as well, i just figured this one would be the most effective. just an idea to help keep my truck from being stolen (well at least its an extra step for them). any help would be great, thanks

Just tap into the grey wire on the out side of your frame rail in the harness, run a switch from it to someplace hidden in your truck. Is easy as that. Use a multi meter to find the switched one..

Call me stupid but on the fuel pump would there not be some fuel still in the line to allow it to start and drive a little ways?
if some one truly wants something it is damn near impossible to stop them. As said before all it takes is a flat bed and a winch and you can have damn near anything you want. Why do you think construction company's watch the machinery they have so much. A friend of mine who works for a large construction company in the city has had a backhoe stolen over night from a site, It was up on its outriggers and the bucket. The only thing left was a little hydro oil and some tire tracks.
