It was not my understanding that SVT was being abolished but rather all lines, except for the Cobra, were being put on hold???

 

That was my understanging too.?! Also the focus doesnt count as a true SVT to me.

 

As far as I know your correct, the L is just taking some time off, but I figure what the heck why not let them know how much we like SVT jsut in case

 

SVT Focus and Contour are a joke. Lightning and Cobra are the only true performance vehicles.

 

DITTO the lightning needs some time off so they can come up with some upgrades even though the sema truck looked bad *** it still is a long way away from being done and production starting. but who really knows, Now GM needs to do something while their down and out and quit being such *****'s.

 

They have an SVT Contour.

 

I bought a new Contour SVT in 2000. It handled very well but needed some more power. It was a 2.5 V6 putting out 200 Hp which was pretty good for a 2.5 liter. It should have been rear wheel drive with a 5.0, then it would have been the ****.

I laughed my *** out too when I found there was an svt cantour.

 

we have a regular 02 4 door Focus and even though its a turd, it is still fun to drive....I'm sure with 50 more hp in the SVT (and lighter obviously) it would be a fun car.....I wouldn't say their a "joke" just because it doesn't have 400hp
