Man... Me and a friend have both done deals with him, and have had no problems. He has been on time and really nice about stuff. Sorry that happened, but he is still good in my book!

I must say I have had similar experiences with him. I have been trying to buy the 6.0 block from him, first it's a guy across town, then it's mine, then it's another guy across town, then it's mine, now it's his neighboor, I guess it'll be mine again after that .. getting old .. glad I'm not in a rush.

I agree .. he should hold his commitments to his sale. Are you going to get the engine or not, it's the 5.7 I'm assuming since the 6.0 is already going to several different people who have all passed on it. Makes me think something might be up with it.

I sorta can't blame him but I also see your point. I also don't know the entire story so I won't point fingers.

There has been too many times when I have something for sale online and Joe Schmoe promises me the world that he's going to buy whatever I'm selling and then I never hear from said person again and they leave me hanging while I'm trying to do the "honest" thing. Money talks.

One other thing that really irks me is that people seem to think they deserve a dirt cheap price on something just because it's being sold online.

Deja Vu!!!! He is a good guy. I can't say anything bad about him, but this thread is like a flashback or something. Hyde, Mix, you guys in here somewhere?

First of all, the guy was trying to throw offers at me like $550 plus some other stuff. We were sending emails back and forth and I didnt hear from him in two days saying he'd come get it or not. I told him a guy was going to pick it up on Sunday, if he could get it before then, then it was his. I got a call on my cell phone yesterday afternoon from a guy that I've sold some things to, and he wanted to come look at it. So he comes looks at it, and decides he wants it. Tell me how many of you guys would turn down cash right in front of your face?? Would you tell them, sorry a guy that doesnt have the full amount of cash from out of town may come get it, but I'm not sure yet because he never told me "I'll be there on such and such day" I understand you are disappointed Will, but there is no need to make a silly post "warning" people about me, because everyone who knows me will say the opposite.
MONEY TALKS BULLSHIT WALKS

Flyer,
I didnt think you wanted the 6.0 anyway, because I took a lot of stuff off of it and put it on the 5.7 // it's just basically the block. I'd rather sell it to my friend that lives down the street that way I can just roll the cart its on right back to his house since its his cart anyway.
In fact, I would rather sell it to him because if something screws up on it, he's my friend and there wont be any static. Now if I sell it to someone and it turns out to be a piece of ****, then I'm responsible to give them a refund back.

I agree w/ Pewter03GMC on this one. If he had a firm "I want it" from Will and a deposit to hold it, then thats a different story.

No one has came by and looked at it btw....
I planned on dropping it in, so to my knowledge nothing is wrong with it

I'm going to have to side with Pewter03GMC on this one. Unless there was a deposit I see nothing wrong with what happened.

Now if it was a solid YES I want it, don't sell it, I'm coming blah..blah..blah to pick it up then I'd be a little upset but, if there was no solid commitment well then. Sometimes lifes just not fair.

I had already made arrangments to come and get it on the weekend, and had gotten heat from my gf about it because I asked a friend and didn't mention it to her, and it turned out ot be 4 of us that were going to go get the motor. Then, someone else was going to look at it, so I halted all that to wait and see.

Once the rest of the goodies were put back on the motor, the deal was even sweater, but I had heard no word back from him except that his heighboor may want it for his race car.

Pewter, I planned on building a bored stroker w/ low compression pistons, so a block and the stuff to dress the block, i.e. water pump, covers, oil pump, etc. were just right for me. Of course I was going to need heads, but I was going to try and come up with something else there. I'll keep looking though ..

As for the original thread topic, I can see the reason there, but that still doesn't make it 100% right to the original purchaser who it was 'promised' to already.

Well I sold my **** and thats all.
I'm sure I wont have anything else to sell for a while, so I really could care less that Will got his panties in a wad. I'm just looking out for myself as I've learned no one will do it for me, so whoever judges me on this can just pucker up and kiss my ***. Damn Will, you really ruined my great LS1Tech image now, what will I do now, maybe "sell my mother if the price is right" as you said?
