So I was walking thru a parking lot tonight, and I see a Gibbs silverado parked, has out of state plates. As I'm thinking to myself "I wonder if it's supercharged....", the owner walks up to it. So while I'm walking by, I say "Joe Gibbs eh? Supercharged?" He says no, do you know about these trucks? So I chatted with him for a minute. Turns out he moved here less than a week ago, and since winter is coming he thinks he wants to sell the truck. I gave him my card & told him to stop by my shop if he was serious. It's a 2004, with a 5.3 and a 4L60E. Has me thinking.....

So, if its not supercharged, then what makes it different from any other 04 w/5.3 and 4L60 performance wise? I guess I dont know about these trucks LOL

 

As far as I know, some had superchargers(MP112), the rest had appearance packages.

I'm interested only because it is 2wd. 2wd trucks are extremely rare here, as are low mileage trucks period. This '04 has 45k or so on it, and it is unmolested, 100% stock. Not even the tires have been replaced yet.

 

should have 3.73s also, mine has every option except the maggie, and yes its a p1, not good?

 

If i remember right the only JG that came out with superchargers was the 4.8L, the 5.3 did not come with the supercharger, but i think the Tahoe JG with the 5.3 did have a superchRger though..

 

You'll love it at first. Soon you will want more. I've seen guys upgrading from the p1 to the d1 in less than a year. Just sayin.
