Default Interceptor Scan Guage question.

I know this guage reads MAP readings, just like a factory programmed GM type scanner would do. Question is will it read PSI when you have a 2-bar MAP and SD tuning?

Yes, but mine is not matching my manual gauge, but Haven't looked into it yet. It's like a pound and a half off i think. I think its adjustable.

Seriously??!! It goes into positive pressure readings? What scale? Adustable electronically, is that to improve it's accurracy? I wonder why it would not just read the MAP and that is the level of boost. I am very happy to hear this, may order one ASAP!! Thanks kbracing96!!!

Yes, it goes into positive readings with a 2 bar MAP. Mine matches my mechanical gauge pretty close, it's off by like 1/2 psi. The MAP can be recalibrated in the tune if the actual readings are off.

Guage on order!! Yipee!! Thanks so much.

How do you recommend I get this all calibrated to get perfect or near perfect reading on Interceptor? Reason behind it all is I need to verify my boost is actually what it is on my manual guage.

okay so I finally got my guage tonight. Quick install, laying on floor until I decide where to put it. I have a couple of questions.
1. Can you set these for metric settings? (Canadian)
2. The first post about positive pressure readings seems to be not working as I thought it would. Manifold pressure reads up to 1.6 PSI and will not go above. Must be related to stock PCM can not read boost. There is however, 1 and 2 anolog inputs that have manual wires to hook up (not in OBD2 port) and apperantly this is what I must hook up to get use of the 2 bar MAP reading. It is a 0-5V scale, with adjustability. Does anyone know how to hook this up to get it to read boost up to 2 bar capability? I would love to compare my manual guage to the Interceptor before I pulley down.

Thanks everyone!

Do you have a 2 bar MAP installed on the truck? If not, it won't read boost. You can add a 2 bar map just for the gauge and use one of the analog inputs to read it. It tells you how in the instruction on there website.

i dont' know exactly what broke on it but this is what it did. riding down the road my scan guage cuts off and my instrument panel goes ape nuts. tach sweeps back and forth no speedo. i unplugged it checked it out to ensure nothing was loose. plug it back up and still the same thing. sent it in for repair and i got a new one back. my truck is down so i can not test it to ensure it works right.
