Default inspection is a no go

first they didn't like the tail light covers, then they didn't like the tint . they said the visibility had to be a minimal 18%...mine was 4%, whoopdy doo. anyone have any recommendations on what to do besides removing the tint? thanks.

roll the windows down and take the fuse out. some one posted to do this and tell them you dont have windows. they said that the law does not state that you have to have windows. try that and let us know if it works.

lol

Well no, but checking the front driver side windows is part of the procedure. If they can't inspect it because of it, they'll let him know. Then ofcourse his only options are to, drag himself to another shop and cross his fingers or, have them fix the fuse. OR they put in a temporary fuse, see the windows, and not pass him.

I'm just basing my opinion on every mechanic/inspector I've worked with. I'm 80% positive they HAVE to see the windows (or have windows), to pass inspection. I could be wrong, but eitherway, being the #2 city (I still think) in the smog list etc, inspection isn't something too many shops gamble with anymore.

but if he wants, go ahead and try. Bring that 99+ silverado all nice and pretty with limo tint all around and no side windows. They know those windows are going up when you get home, and they also know that an inspection sticker from them will be on his truck when those windows go back up. Last thing a shop wants is the DPS on their *** because everyone and theyre brother is doing a no window loophole. Who knows tho, go ahead and try, and let us know......lol

Here's a real quick solution move to another state that doesn't have any may a*s*s*holes!! Here we don't have any of that crap. Our hillbillies that run around with huge 10" lift kits on their 99+ chevys are running 38" tires and 35"s are the legal limit and you don't even see the State Troopers bother them!!! Personally i would never live in a state that required my vehicle be inspected!!! NO INSPECTIONS + NO CATS = MORE POWER!!!

ok, so i folded and took out the tint. taking the glue off is alot harder than i thought. but one of the window's tint needed to be replaced anyways, so oh well.
