Hey Bud,

No GM is not like Toyota. GM does not use the "Absolute TPS" value. Closed should be 0%, .50V, WOT should be 100% 4.5 to 5.0V.

I would be checking the throttle plate for carbon, cable binding from Cruise control, anything obvious. Also sounds like maybe a vacuum leak. How are the fuel trims?

Just going to add DBW TBs will always show some percent, even at idle, but DBC TBs will show 0% when you dont have your foot in it.

You should re-read what you wrote.

Unplugging the sensor and waiting 15 seconds will do nothing at all. The TPS is not a "Learned Value". Of course if you adjust the throttle plate screw to raise the idle the TPS voltage will go up. But that is not what you said.

no, i said it right. if you have a sensor reading 3% (or another random number):

un plug it, put the key to the on position (15 seconds is random to make sure the computer gets a good chance to recognize)

turn the key to the off position and plug in the tps sensor again, in most cases it will reset the tps sensor back to zero percent....which is exactly what i typed.

adjusting the angle was just an example of what may cause it...maybe you should learn to read?

this info was passed to me from Mr. Shaner of shaners throttle bodies.

Good to know, I know that there are many similarities, guess that this isn't one of them
