my lights for my cluster and climate control doesnt work..... the illum wire was grounding out due to my poor *** install job.. i checked the fueses still nothign any ideas??

Exact same thing happened to me. I had to replace the headlight switch.

 

Anyone else have any ideas??

 

Any update on this. It happened to my truck yesterday when I switched to my escalade cluster without turning off the key. I have readings on all guages but no lights on cluster or HVAC controlls. What fixes this problem. I checked all the fuses and they were not burned.

 

did you check the fuses in the engine compartment?

 

yes I pulled out every single fuse in the truck.

 

TTT, I guess I'll try a new headlight switch.
