Default I ordered my new truck yesterday....

8-12 weeks from now I'll be the proud owner of a black 2007 RCSB 2WD Colorado ZQ8

Options are:
LT 2LT options package
ZQ8 suspension package
3.7 liter motor (242hp at 5600rpms/242tq at 4700rpm)
G80 rear differential (it was free)
3.73 rear gears
18" Colorado Extreme wheels (dealer option)
Bucket seats
Soft toneau cover

The truck booked out at $19,795 and I'll be walking out the door for $15,975 (that includes TT&L, I'm thinking about marrying the sales girl I dealt with...she was cute, friendly, and knocked almost $4k off the total price)

I'm already working on the suspension, I've contacted ART about another Colorado they laid out that was featured in Sport Truck....if I decide to go with ART's setup I'll end up with a rear 4-link/Watts link setup and Shockwaves at all four corners. According to a bunch of stuff I've read on various reputable websites the factory ZQ8 suspension/wheelbase package is supposed to be able to out-handle a Z28, I'm hoping that after the air-suspension the handling will be even better

ReelWheels has already built a turbocharged H3 (thanks for the tip zippy!!) so I've sent an e-mail to them requesting information on the hot-side parts that they built/used....I'll have to size the turbo down slightly because of the 1000lb weight difference between the two trucks but it'll give me a starting point.

I've already contacted PI about a converter...I'm gonna go with a 3000rpm stall and a decent shift kit in the 4L60e

With a curb weight under 3700lbs, a 3k stall converter and 242 hp it should be pretty quick (not REAL impressive, but not bad either), I add in the turbo and I'm thinking 12's is an EASY goal.

What do y'all think ???

Cool

Congrats on the new truck. It sounds like it will be nice and fast.

The new vehicle purchase ordeal sounds like it was a great experience as well.

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences.

The H3 looks cool. I am glad you're getting a colorado, I own a Silverado and could not be happier, but that seems like all you see. It also sounds like you'll have a fast truck with all the mods in mind.

What do y'all think ???
How about marrying it with an LS2 6.0L or a LS7 7.0L, then add the turbo???
Nice truck man!
Good luck and happy modding!
