I ordered my new truck!!!
#1
I finally did it, I ordered my 2006 Silverado Crew Cab, My wife and I are so excited!
With the addition of another child to our family (due July 6th), our 2002 S-10 LS Ext Cab just won't cut it anymore. My wife also has a 2000 GP GTP. The Camaro SS is my toy car.
Here is the break down of what I ordered:
- 2LT Silverado Crew Cab Short Box LT2
- 46U Blue Granite Metallic
- 696 Leather Dark Charcoal
- LQ9 6.0L V8 Engine
- GT4 3.73 Rear Axle
- QJP BW Tires
- UBO Radio AM/FM/CD
- A95 High Back Bucket Driver & Passenger
- CF5 Sun Roof
- NHT Performance Max Package
- SAF Lock, Spare Tire
- UK3 Redundant Radio Controls
MSRP - $35,110
Invoice - $31,848.13
I am getting a hell of a deal too. My buddy is the Sales Manager at a local Chevy dealership and he is selling it to me for invoice, plus all the rebates/incentives.
Invoice - $31,848.13
Rebate - $2,500.00
GM Card - $3,000.00
Auto Show Cash - $500.00
My Truck - $8,500.00
So after tax, I should be getting it for around: $19350.00. I also plan on putting down about $5,000.00, so my 4 year loan should put me about $335-340 per month.
As I said before we are very excited and it's all I can think about. I was told that GM is really pushing the Silverado Crew Cabs and my TPW should be very soon, I should get my truck in about 4 weeks!
I'm not going to mod it just yet, just going to get the tuning software for it and start logging info for a few months.
Since it won't stay stock and I will mod it, I have a few questions.
For a cam I am probably going with a 220 224 116lsa.
I'm up in the air for what LT Headers to buy. What do you guys recommend? I want to have Cats and absolute max flow is not as important as fit and finish is.
Also, what do you guys tweak for the tranny settings? After driving a few trucks, I can tell it really needs some work
Thanks for reading my babble, I'm just very excited to own such a awesome truck!

BILL!
I know you! COFBA, right, well former president? I am sure you have seen me around and at COFBA track days. Nice truck! If you want you can check out my website and see the truck for personal experiences. Nice to see another CLOSE Ohio truck here!
You want to swap motors? I could use that LQ9!
We have a GTP too, but it is a 98!
