Default I need some help

I am looking for engine pix of a 5.3L Sierra/Silverado from 2001. I heard that on the passanger side, there is some sort of breather or pump or something. I need pix of that particular piece on the truck. The dealership I bought my truck from, which i bought used, had a bolt in a hole creating an exhaust leak. They tried telling me that because I have LS1 heads, that that is the reason for the exhaust leak. I told him the heads are on top of the motor, and the exhaust is where it is, and if he, being a service writer, didn't know that then he should go find another job. I wasn't sure if there is supposed to be something there that isn't. They ended up slapping on a piece of metal and screwing it into this part of the exhaust that looks like something is supposed to be there. Please help me!!
Thanks,
Tom

Check and see if there is a gasket on the egr (egr being the piece that is cylinder in shape and has a harness/wiring connected to it)

Pics are from my 99 (not an 01), but the part to the right with the harness going to it is the EGR valve.

Thanks man, I took that pic at 39,195 when I did my cam and springs. Been using Mobil1 5w-30 since my first oil change at 700 miles. I just switched to 10w-30 after the cam swap.
