Default I Lost (Houston guys)

Anyway I got off my duff and washed and waxed and really cleaned up the Z today! Woo Hoo right I live in pearland and was about to get on the beltway and head East toward I45 from Hwy 35 (telephone) so there I am poken along and get caught by a light. Well next to me was a Black GMC scsb. Sooooo feeling pretty good about myself (just wahsed etc...) I thought I can take this V6 no doubt. Well as I started out from the light I got a small jump and noticed all power windows, lock etc.. and the chrome mirrors. My first sign that this was at least a V8 so I punched and so did he and he got me. Then later on the Beltway he cam up next to me and did a slow drive by and I got behind him and we both punched it and I thought great no govener for me I got this! Well he didnt have one either so once again he got me. All I can say is I have a 99 5.3L z71 140K and 35" tires and a few mods (see sig) I just kept thinking I need to get those 4.10's in SOON!!

Well I have 2 questions.

1. How much will the 4.10's help over the 3.73's?

2. Anybody know this guy black GMC 99-02 with fire department sticker on the back window?

I think all EC and SC Sierras are V8's. They don't allow the V6 like Chevy.

I thought the base for a Sierra was a V6? At first loo it looked like a base model truck.

Off the line not to bad (car card and 1/2) but I did get the Jump soooo. But on the Frwy close (car car and a 1/2) till about 100 then he just walked away seemed like a cool guy. there was no fingers or rude jesters by either party so I wanted to see if he was a guy on here or something to see what he had done. I didnt hear any exhaust thats whay I though V6

No sir. GMC trucks also come with V6's like chevy! GMC is also standard v6 on RC and EC! I've seen plenty of them!

V6 only on reg cab, unless it's a shortbed work truck. That's the only EC Sierra with a V6. Remember when the commercials when they claimed to have the most powerful standard engine in an extended cab? Of course it's possible that there were model years when it was different but that's how they are now and when I bought mine. Learned all about this stuff when I special ordered mine.

nice death. now it's time to add more mods and find him again.

question #1: yes, you will tell a difference off the line with the 4:10s over the 3.73s.
question #2: no, i don't know of anybody on this site that has a truck like that with that sticker.
