Default I got smoked...

This morning on the way to church I was just riding through town when all the sudden this newer white dodge 4x4 diesel long bed decides to ride my *** , and weave through traffic tryin to get around me. Well we get to where the speed limit changes to 55, I git over and punch it (expecting to leave this cracker) and he blows by me like i was standing still well the only mods I have done to my truck is the upd, de-screened maf,160 thermos, and trual duals. It was a stick so I dont fell that bad, because I know all he did was down shift and blow by me, but damn I know he was laughing, and I know that those dodge diesels have alot of torque... I pulled up becide him tryin to git him to slow down to do a 30 punch, but he turned off. Well I havent done any computer crap yet cause i'm waiting for my friend josh99T/A to git his heads and cam so we can go in together and git LS1Edit. So I guess i'm wondering did I git smoked cause a lack of mods, or do those dodge diesels just have to much torque for me to even hang with. I plan on doing all the good bolt on's , but I think I need to be looking into some power adders . So next time i'll be the one laughing. O yeah anyone else on here ever gotten smoked by a diesel?

On the diesels, all you have to get is a computer chip, exhaust, and intake to gain a ton of power. A friend from church owns High Performance Diesel here in Houston, and has modified many trucks to run sub-14's, and even a 12 sec. F-250.

Yep, doesn't take much to get a Dodge Cummins to put out 700+ rwtq.

I got wasted by a '02 F350 CC/dually Powerstroke 6-speed a couple weeks ago. We were both stuck behind a Semi-truck on a two lane road going about 60mph, I was in front of the Ford. When we got a chance to pass, we both went for it. I blew past the Semi doing 85-90 and noticed that the Ford was right on my tailgate. I moved over to the right lane and kept my foot to the floor. That Ford passed me pretty easily.
I caught up to him in the next town and found out he was running a 100hp chip, exhaust and propane injection.

I saw a crew cab HD Duramax with a tool box bed run the 1/8th in 9.4 on a 2 flat 60'. I think its mph was around 74. Pretty fast for a big truck IMO.

I've seen propane injection systems nearly double the hp and torque numbers on them. He could have had that set up. Propane does for them what NOS does for a gas engine

Phil Penzo at DIS performance has a 2001 with 514 hp at the flywheel and over 800rwt. he has about $3800 in the motor. not bad for a little under 4 grand.

Yeah, thats after I win the lottery ... Does lingenfelter sell that seprate? I have seen it on the Vette, but just thought it was more taylored to the LS1-LS6 Vette's, and somthing they'd have to install. Has he attempted to trick out these trucks? I think I need to git some more bolt-on's (headers,pulley's,e-fan's) and some tranny work before a super charger, but I like that idea, cause I dont drive my truck everyday so I dont think it would hurt me too much $$ wise.
