I had a local guy with one who had heads/cam and I took him in my 5.3 regular cab with intake exhaust.

i don't think they offer much in the stock trim. i have seen some in a magazine that were beast but that was with a blower or nitrous. still good kill, smaller truck with bigger motor goes down.

Sure a Dakota is no hard kill but a HEMI.. Never happen, a GM truck can never beat a HEMI.

haha, i dont know about that one bub. the 4.7l dakota guys are talking about running hard with the hemi's. i even think someone said they beat one. both the hemi and the dak were 4wd quad cabs too. i guess all im sayin is dont get scared by the word "hemi", ya dig? that is unless its a factory badge on a dakota, then you might be worried, but word around the camp fire is thats never gonna happen.

oh yeah, im a dakota guy, just not a fast one.
and of course, good kill, i always new the 5.3 were fast little bastards, who knows, i might jump ship. or not, no truck is sexier looking than a dakota.

yeah, they are 250hp and 300tq stock. mid to low 15's, not bad for a 4000lb+ truck

Just pulled out an old Truck Trend, they got a reg. cab R/T running 15 flat. And 2001t&a. you said the 4.7 Dakota guys claim they running close w/ the Ram Hemis? One of my friends has a 4.7 Dakota rcsb, and we're in a dead heat every time we've run, and I know I won't outrun a similarly equipped Ram w/the 5.7

The R/T Dakotas around here ran tall 14's. Not many around here anymore though? That 360 ci mopar is a thirsty motor and doesn't breath real well. I'm surprised they didn't come out with a Hemi version. They were very good handling trucks.
