rg, you mean with a big shot right? i think it is at least posiable, dont know if i can do it but i will try. last truck got a best of 11.92 with 8psi and a 75shot, i got up to 9psi and a 100shot on the street but no track time, now drop 500lbs, add a front locker. hmm, could happen.
yea, a big shot, but just a regular 6.0 engine.. guess i should of added that.

Which front diff are you going with? The 8.1/Dmax front diff is stronger than the 6.0 front diff.

Gonna put a locker up front?

The front diff is the same for the 6.0, 8.1 and D-max. The rear diffs are different.

Nice stuff. I am very intrigued on how the larger front diff will (if) bolt in to the 1500 frame

The 1500 is a 8.25" ring and the HD model is a 9.25" ring gear. The case is bigger. But I beleive the mounting points are the same.

i HOPE to run the 1500 autotrack transfer case and 1500 front end for awhile but dont know if that will work out or not. if i have to change the transfer case and rework the driveshafts i will probably try and get the front diferential in right away, have to leave out the front drive shaft till i get some 4.10's in the rear if i do that. hell yea, i want a locker in the front and a good posi in the rear, i am all ready turning over 3/4 tires with just a 100shot, might just end up smoking the tires once i get moe power.

I wonder if the Constant Velocity joints are the same on the 1/2 ton as the 3/4 ton..spline count and length wise?

Did you happen to get the front drive shaft also for the HD front diff and HD t-case?

Trying to come up with all contingent (sp?) possibilities so you aren't suprised by anything.
