How much oil?

True,yet the manufactures know those cars are going to get the **** ran out of them right out of the box,thoses motors should not have a ring seating issue.

new cars also have pre broke in motors, mobil 1 will work great, especially with a mobil 1 filter, yes you pay more, but it will be worth it in the long run.

well now they say that motors are broke in within the first 20 miles of driving and you only have 20 miles to actualy get the rings seated properly. take a look all the engine builders build them and put them on a dyno. i did the old school brake in on my last motor and it lasted 38k miles. will try the opposite when i build a new one.

Do you really have to document the oil changes and keep the receits? I asked the owner (he was there at the time) at the dealer we bought it from if the warranty would cover the engine(duh) and he said "As Long as theirs oil in it of course it will"

Default Break in procedure

The best procedure for breaking in a new motor (roller lifters) is:
1. Start it up.
2. Let it warm up to proper operaing temperaure.
3. Run the **** out of it immediately.
4. It is now broken in and the rings are seated.
