my 4.8's gonna be pushin 125k soon and its the 99 with only 255hp,
came across a 06 5.3 for bout 400 bucks.. just curious how much the upgrade would be, cheaper then most engine swaps a assume since its a direct swap and every thing needed will be pulled off my old motor

 

Im sure its going to cost ya. I would check on the board if anyone is looking to make a quick buck. that way you could help and learn from the swap

im from the SE side mostly every from htown on here is on the opposite side a houston lol, im back and forth between friendswood, alvin, and manvel

 

when had you planned on doing this? do you have an engine hoist? what about tools? plenty of beer? lol

 

I've got the facilities and all ready to go, say when. I'm about an hour and a half away from Houston. let me know.
