Default how much does a privately done engin swap usually cost?

my 4.8's gonna be pushin 125k soon and its the 99 with only 255hp,
came across a 06 5.3 for bout 400 bucks.. just curious how much the upgrade would be, cheaper then most engine swaps a assume since its a direct swap and every thing needed will be pulled off my old motor

Im sure its going to cost ya. I would check on the board if anyone is looking to make a quick buck. that way you could help and learn from the swap

The 06 has the stronger rods and the coated pistons and cylinder walls!
