Default How much does a Gen III engine weight?

Reason I am asking is because I am wondering if a 750 pound capacity engine stand is enough for these engines. I know the ls1 is slightly lighter since it's an aluminum block.

I was told around 600 pounds with the heads and intake. With accesories would be a little more of course. I bought the 1000 pound AC Delco stand. It was only $49 at AutoZone. The 750 pound was like $35.

I'm just relaying gossip. I've never seen an official weight posted. I was told the iron block was about 100 more than the alum. The iron is what I was told weighed 600. I used a forklift
