My RC SB chevy with a half tank,weighs 3940# w/o me.

Maybe the newer trucks didn't get any secret horsepower upgrades from GM. Maybe they just snuck some weight out.

I weighed my truck at a trash transfer station. I don't know the accuracy of the scales but, I'd guess there's a +/- variance

Yeah, I need to shed some pounds from me and the truck! I have always raced in full trim, I know a lot of guys pull the tailgate, spare, seat, and all that stuff, but I figure if I cant run the number the way I drove it in, then I just need to find more power! My truck is fully loaded and I guess the Whipple adds a few. I wish I could get the race weight down to about 4000!

FWIW Gasoline weighs 6 pounds per gallon.
