Can a guy cut and solder the connectors from seat to seat or should I plan on removing all the foam and seat covers from the new seats onto my old work truck seats? I know they're the same frame anyways. Why the F does GM do this? To prevent totalled out vehicles from getting fixed or something?
We've tried to even swap out the connectors and it's just not happening. This sort of thing pisses me off with GM. I have a Repo truck with the wrong seat in it and now I have to spend major coin to get this bastard just to the point where we can sell it. Can't sell a vehicle in Virginia that has an Air Bag Light on.....damn it!

I did that in my GMC, swap bottom cushions leaving the original 04 bottom foam in the truck, but using the covers (swapped on to the bottoms), frames, and backs of the 06 seats. I used 05 seats in my 06 truck this way. It really wasn't that bad of a project, took me most of an afternoon but I had no info and one of my seats was damaged and I had to repair it, adding to the time.
