How difficult to remove the cats?
#1
I dont have access to a lift so this would be a driveway job. I can weld at the table, but havent tried doing it on my back. How difficult is the job? Im assuming all that is involved is taking a sawzall to the pipes to cut out the cats and then welding some 2.5 pipe (since its before the Y) in its place and bolting them back up to the headers?? Are you guys taking off the whole catback and then welding on the table and then trying to get everything back up? Anyone have any pics?
Thanks

I had mine done at a shop it took him about 30minutes..... He used a plasma cutter though instead of the saw... he tried the saw ans he went through 3 blades before switching to the cutter...... Then welded about a 1ft peice into the places.... Didnt look to be too hard...

Yeah it depends if you want to gut them or take them off..... I have heard, and dont quote me on this... that it will create turbulance if you leave them on, and empty... I really dont know about this very much... but i do know that I have mine completly gone and I gained (these gains are not common) 22rwhp and 27rwtq
