i may have said it wrong.....the dealers only make about 3% on the hold-back. that would have put them making about $3-400. on the sale. that dosent happen even if you work for them.

Well I was just wondering cause I have been contacting some dealerships lately, looking at the new 07's in the RCSB config. Most of the trucks list from about 25.5K to low 27K with the options that I want. Best deal so far I have come up with is someone offering me to sell one for like 24,xxxK. So I know right there they are not negotiating anything off of the truck, just the 2K rebates. I generally try to negotiate the base price of the truck before we even make mention of any applicable rebates. Alot of dealers will work it as though they are dealing on the truck, and not list the savings as Rebates which is $$ they get regardless. If they only give you rebates and not lower the price of the truck itself, then they made the rebate $$$$ + all the markup on the truck, not to mention the interest.

Also, did you trade in a vehicle, last I heard they were still giving 1K bonus cash back if you trade in a 99 or newer vehicle.

So far I haven't found a dealer willing to haggle the actual price of the truck yet, but thats OK, cause I've got nothing but time.

I got 2,545 off sticker. Not real great but purchasing early in 07 on a 07 truck I knew that. There were no rebates from GM available at that time. I got a good trade on a Ford at a chevy dealer so it worked out pretty good.

my digital camera finally died, but here is a pic from my phone....i photo-shopped the emblems, tint on the front window, the rear bupmer, and the black inserts on the wheels while at work.

i did end up removing the emblems, but i haven't changed anything else yet. i will try to get some cleaner pics when i replace the camera.

I paid 1500 under MSRP for the only LTZ vmax within 200 miles and I the gave me 20500 for my 2004 that only KBB aT 19000 in great condition. I was happy with the purchase 41000 for a crew cab vmax with every box check, except the 20a and thats cause of the NHT towing pakage. Its 4k cheaper then the new tundra I look at.
