Default Hood Flew Open Damage Photos

Ok, went to the dealership, im in process with gm customer service on placing this under warranty for a faulty latch assembly. I also tried talking to the hood manufacturer, but they wanted no part of it, and explained to me that the hood frame underneath is EXACT compared to stock, just a different skin...GM customer service btw is BS none of them speak english and all they reply with is, im sorry sir lol but heres the pics

You can also see the exact line across the windshield where the raised cowl hit...thank god it wasnt the stock hood or it wouldve made it to the roof!

I hope you have full coverage or comprehensive insurance cause IMO GM is not going to do anything...

How about complaining to Regency since they modified the hood?

Hate to be a *****, but it's an aftermarket hood, so it's likely not GM's fault. You should have put the stock hood back on, beat it up a bit, and then took it in. Good luck though...

Yeah its a tough thing to work with, the Reflexxions hood co. says its the exact frame as a stock hood, therefore the hood was the aftermath of the latch letting go, so either hood wouldve done it. It boggles my mind to know a hood could come open only at 35mph and do this kind of damage...waiting on 8am to talk to gm again and get this going further....new windshield goes in today for 198$ though, cheapest one ive seen installed for a brand new one so im happy, at least ill see
