Default Homebrew TB Polish, Now Problems

So today I decided to take the plunge and port/polish my own throttle body.
When I got done "knife edging" the plate and sanding/polishing everything, I put the TB on and truck started with ~2000-2500rpm idle and reduced power message. Before first start I thought to myself "j.c. those 1/4" lines underneath the tb are a pain in the ***" so I tried the ol' bypass tb trick.
I'm wondering if the tb bypass is what caused the problems to begin with first off, and secondly if I butchered the tb unknowingly.
I don't have a code reader so I don't know what codes its throwing but the check engine light is on and the truck has a retarted throttle response.
As of now the TPS cable and neg. battery cable are disconnected for what will be overnight.
Any help or advice is much appreciated.

i'd say the bypass is causing your problem. put it back to normal and see what you come up with. it sounds like you pulled the vacuum line

forgot to mention, everything vacuum related is now back to normal. I put the tb bypass back to normal.

edit: unless there's another vacuum line I may have overlooked?

Hmm, clutch or brake?
I could have sworn I had all the bits and bobs connected, but I've been wrong before.
At any rate, those checks are gonna have to wait til tomorrow morning.
My main concern is that I may have butchered the TB...completely removed the butterfly and sanded/polished the whole way through.

You can't remove any material near where the blade seals, if you did or took too much from the blade its self then it will be drawing too much air, causing problems.

I'd be willing to bet it not vacuum related, that it's related to the port and polish

Sounds like the problem Raffman...how do I fix it?
At the time it seemed silly to me to sand and polish one side and not the other...
